Rock

Ken
Students come to me for the same reasons. I encourage them to become a professional. I never like people who say that you cannot make it.
I came from a very small fishermen's village in Japan. My father was not a fisherman. But most of my friends' fathers were fishermen or farmers.
There was not anyone who graduated from a college. I wanted to go beyond the horizon. Well, who thought there I would be making decent living as a professional photographer in a foreign county?

I tell student interns that first get any photo jobs after graduation, work hard and do not give up their dreams. All the former student interns have photo jobs or in graduate schools. I am proud of them.

I hear that people want to become a travel photographer,,, go to all the world and take photos. I tell them, "let's find out what you need to do now and start working on it now."

Of course there are some students who even do not have any camera... well, I do not know. They should start taking photos and find out if they really want to do photography.

I believe that if someone can do it, you can do it, too.
